It was only a matter of time before Twitter released there own official twitter application. The signs the release was imminent came yesterday when the tweete app (recently purchased by Twitter) was pulled from the app store. The official version aka Tweete v3 is now available in the App Store:
UPDATE 1: Seems there was a bug and the app has been pulled temporarily.
UPDATE 2: The links are up again and you can download the official twitter app.
